JAKARTA, February 13, 2025 – Waruna Group officially commenced 2025 with its annual Kick-Off Meeting under the theme “Aggressive Business through Service Excellence.” The event was attended by the Company’s Management team and leaders across Waruna Group to review the business and operational achievements of 2024, while also discussing strategic initiatives and work plans that will be implemented throughout 2025.
During the event, Mr. Tarsan Salim, Shipping Director, expressed his appreciation for the Company’s improved business performance in 2024, particularly in maintaining a healthy cost-income ratio. He also outlined several improvement initiatives that will require close monitoring throughout 2025 and emphasized the importance of adopting a mindset focused on preventive actions rather than corrective actions. By doing so, employees are expected to become more proactive in identifying potential issues and making timely and effective decisions.
In his remarks, Mr. Darwo Lim, President Director, acknowledged the Company’s achievement in delivering sustainable revenue and profit growth throughout 2024. He further stated that 2025 would be designated as a year of continuous improvement, particularly in relation to vessel docking activities, with a focus on enhancing docking quality and optimizing docking days.
The President Director concluded his speech by reiterating the importance of strong synergy and effective communication in addressing workplace complexities and business challenges while supporting the Company’s continued growth.
The 2025 Kick-Off Meeting also served as an opportunity for the Company to recognize employees who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication throughout Waruna Group’s growth and development. As a token of appreciation, the Company presented the “2025 Employee Service Year Award” to 17 employees who have dedicated more than 15 years of service to the organization.
In addition, the Company honored five vessels for their exceptional performance during 2024. The award recipients included MT. Star Valiant and LPG/C Gas Nusa from the Tanker Fleet, as well as TB. Martha Concept, TB. Terminal View, and TB. Martha Pilot from the Harbour Tug Fleet.
